The Directorate of Doctoral Training, Scientific Research, Technological Development, Innovations, and Entrepreneurship Promotion was established by inter-ministerial decree dated 09 Jumada 2, 1439, corresponding to March 18, 2018 which defines the administrative organization of the Higher School and the nature of its technical interests

• Organizing and following up on the progress of doctoral training and ensuring the implementations of the regulations in this field.
• Contributing to promoting the school’s research policy and revitalizing it.
• Follow up on research activities in laboratories and research units in departments.
• Carrying out any activity that may lead to the valorization of research results.
• Collecting and disseminating information on the research activities carried out by the school.
• Ensuring the integration and harmonization of education, improvement, and refresher programs for professors.
• Ensuring the work of the scientific council of the school and coordinating the activity of the scientific committee of the department.
• Initiating activities to promote exchange and cooperation with other higher education institutions in the field of education and research.
• Responding to the needs of national institutions and organizations in the field of scientific research and technological development.
• Encouraging the development of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Assistant Director in charge of Doctoral Training, Scientific Research, Technological Development, Innovations, and Entrepreneurship Promotion is assisted by:

• Head of the Third Stage Training Department.
• Head of the Department of Follow up of Research Activities and Valorization of its Results.
• Head of the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Promotion.
  

The department is responsible for overseeing all matters related to the implementation of the third-stage training program, and its duties include:

• Organizing a Ph.D. Competition
  
• Registration and Re-registration
  
• Referral of doctoral dissertation proposals to the academic committees,
  
• Informing the Research Center in Scientific and Technical Information of PhD topics
• Approval of doctoral projects by the Academic Council,
• Reviewing PhD dissertations before the council and endorsing the examination committees
• Distribution of PhD thesesto the committee members
• Reception of expert reports
• Preparing a decision and minutes of the examination
• Conducting and organizing the examination, and delivering the certificates

• Monitoring the research activities of scientific laboratories and valorizing their results
• Management of research projects (CNEPRU) and the National Research Program (PNR), and valorization of their results
• Issuing scientific research certificates as well as research permits
• Monitoring the budget outcomes of scientific research laboratories
• Gathering and publishing information about the research activities conducted by the university
