A peer-reviewed scientific open-access and free of charge, published biannually (June and December) by the École Normale Supérieure of Mostaganem, Algeria. Founded in 2024, the journal is dedicated to the dissemination of original academic research in the fields of literature, criticism, and linguistics, as well as interdisciplinary studies that intersect with these domains within the broader scope of the humanities and social sciences.

The journal aims to foster rigorous scientific inquiry by publishing articles characterized by originality, methodological precision, and strict adherence to academic documentation standards. It welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers whose work aligns with its thematic areas, positioning itself as an open platform for constructive academic dialogue.

Al-Muʾaththal is published in three languages—Arabic, French, and English—and its content is made available electronically via the ASJP platform, which supports open access and direct download. The journal adopts a volume-based system and issues special editions when necessary.

Striving to be a dynamic intellectual space, Al-Muʾaththal combines rootedness in cultural identity with openness to diverse humanistic perspectives. Its vision is grounded in drawing inspiration from the cultural heritage of the region, while embracing the plurality of contemporary thought through conscious and responsible engagement with various modern scientific methodologies and paradigms.

All submissions must comply with established academic publishing standards. Authors are required to follow the journal’s unified editorial guidelines, which are available under the “Author Instructions” section on the Algerian Scientific Journals Platform (ASJP).
